Well everything sound well but the inapp Purchase sounds like a Joke, sorry for that but the App is sold as an Twitter App with Push Notifications and after you purches it you realize that it doesn't, now it will be able to Push and you have to pay again for this Stuff, sorry but this principe sucks a lot, so if i add the purches price and the inapppurches together it is a very expensive App for sure, hey do what you want but i am sure that there are a lot of customers that will thank you for such behaviour and switch to an other App untill they will find one, like me : i will start searching for one now...
Like I said in iTunes it's stupid we need to pay twice before we have
push notif. We already paid enough for the app itself, so why do we need to pay more? If it's going to be in app purchase than we'd better buy itweetreply or boxcar or something Luke that...
paying for push is ridiculous, nuff said!
I assume that the app will still retain it's current push-from-other-Twitbird users capability, and the global push will only be enabled via the in-app purchase? I don't see any problem with this honestly- even moreso since it sounds like it'll not be a monthly/recurring cost but simply a one-time-per-account cost, and it's a reasonable amount at that. Running global push no doubt costs a good bit, so it only makes sense to charge for it- I'd rather pay a reasonable amount for it and ensure that we have continued support and updates than expect everything for free and have support dropped because the devs couldn't make ends meet.
I think the in-app ONE_TIME purchase is ok. The going rate for Twitter apps with push seems to be about $5. So in this case you pay about the same total price and Twitbird protects itself against pirate copies. WIN WIN
i do not agree, itweetreply is available for 1,59 euro. that's even cheaper than twitbird pro!...and boxcar is 2.39 euro, that's the same price as twitbird pro without ridiculous in app purchase.
it's their decision, but i will definitely change from twitter client if they do in app purchase!
will definitely not pay for push notification. if you really want push without paying extra, get simplytweet or echofon.
twitbird pro is such a disappointment. FAIL!!!
Boxcar also have "global" Push Notification. No need to purchase an additional feature. TwitBird is ripping off all of you.
facebook posting, please!!!
