TwitBird removed from app store, temporarily
We were informed that we should not use the *bird* image as part of twitbird's logo, also we were asked not to use the word *Twitter* in app store titles, they believe this will cause confusion to users. We were told once those issues are resolved TwitBird will be back on app store again.
We will submit TwitBird v2.1 to app store today, it will not use the *bird* image and it will not have the word "twitter" in its app store titles. If everything goes on well, TwitBird v2.1 should be back to app store as free update to everyone who downloaded it before, let's pray it is sooner than later.

hahahahahahaha confuse users? how so?
This is why apple sucks...

It was Twitter who made the request, so why does Apple suck?
What do you mean, why does Apple sucks? These are stupid requests.
I'm saying that it's not Apple that is making the stupid requests. It's Twitter.
Wow, that sucks, im sorry guys!
boppppppppp
Wow! Why did Twitter wait so long to bother saying anything? So I guess Apps like Twitterrific, Tweetie, Birdhouse, Tweeterena, etc… are basicly screwed then huh? Since they all do esentially the exact same shit with the Twitter name and/or the bird icons ;] Twitter is seriously being a bunch of anal retentive jerk off's about this whole issue, why for the past 5ish years has it not been an issue??? Damn lawyers always F-up a good thing for no reason.
The new logos you posted on twitter are UGLY!! Please don't use those, you will get a lot of flame in the app store and everyone will mark down the stars.
Can't you just go back to the 1.x version of the logo (without PRO banner etc.)? I am talking about the one that's currently on your twitter avatar. It's a bird, but not the same bird used by Twitter and its logo.
keep up the good work!
.
Oh my god Apple is so weird sometimes.
What stupid reasons. Sorry, I know Apple can dictate what they want in their own store, but this is pathetic.
So, because TwitBird had this issue, I expect the other Twitter apps to have to deal with the same crap. Else, they'v made it clear that they have singled out TwitBird to harrass.
I still cannot find the TwitBird Apps in the app store. Is Apple not allowing it yet? I thought this was resolved.
