Twitbird Update Now Available

Today the latest version of Twitbird is available for download - we're updated each version of Twitbird to include the features and bugfixes listed below along with download links.

Twitbird 2.7.1 Details:

This is a huge update that we're really excited about releasing! First of all, two great updates to Twitbird:

- Pro and Free versions of Twitbird now both run natively on iPad, and
- Twitbird supports Retina Display for iPhone 4 users

Additionally, many third party services have been going through rough waters since Twitter adopted OAuth. We fixed a number of problems caused by this transition so uploading photos works great now, and we support posting them to Facebook or Flickr now!

For our Global Push users, if you've changed your device or reinstalled Twitbird we now give you the option to restore global push from within Twitbird.

In the options you can now toggle "Read Tweets" on and off in the settings menu. This will have tweets be read aloud to you if you enable it!

For our users who rely on a proxy to access Twitter, you can download our customized "Birdnest" and deploy it on Google App Engine. The API proxy in Twitbird is working again! Download it here.

  1. Pretty transparent update. The upload to flickr is a nice idea, but haven't gotten it to work so far.

  5. I've updated to the latest version of TwitBird Premium (2.7.1). Every time I open the app, the iTunes password pop up appears. It's literally driving me quite mad. I've tried power cycling the device, and reinstalling the app, to no avail. Please help!

  6. @Anonymous- Posting to Facebook and Flickr should work without issue, but if you continue to have problems I recommend you email us at service@nibirutech.com and we'll take a closer look at the issue. We apologize for the inconvenience.

@Matthew- This a known issue affecting Global Push users, mostly those which aren't using 3G service. We're working on repairing this issue for the next release of Twitbird.

  9. I can not favorite tweets! :-( For me this is critical, because I use this feature for reading later...

Your app is great, and I always recomend it in my local MUG (mac user group) but it has some features that don´t work properly, or little things that would be great if you implement them (like let us choose the way we quote –Lot of people prefer "via @user"-)

Keep working, please. Best wishes from Valencia, Spain.
